  3. Currently, we decided to put on two touch sensors on both the front and on the back of the Rover. We also have two wheels sideways on each side so that if it runs into a rock the wheels will have our Rover go around it.

  4. We have just begun the project. Currently on the EDL team we are working on figuring out the other ways that scientists on other EDL teams got the Mars Curiosity to Mars. We are taking lots on notes getting the best information we can to make the land a success.

  6. Progress is growing in the VCom Team. Recently we have been working on building types of iPod mounts to hold the iPods in and so that they fit on the rover. Our team has been coming up with some really good designs but we are still trying to make better mounts that are lightweight and can hold the iPod well without destroying the iPod.

  9. I am the only scientist for the MFO Team. As being a scientist for the MFO team I will have to make sure everyone in my group is aware of the conditions on Mars. I will also have to make sure everything is done correctly, in order to send it to Mars.

  11. We have already come up with a great way to attach the magnetic field sensor on the CPU without picking up the magnetic feilds in the CPU and motors. Also it can be attached to the CPU either on its back or standing. -E. Leo, MFO

  15. So far we are doing very well, and we have some good ideas of how we are going to get the Rover on Mars. We also took notes on how the scientists got the Rover to land on Mars.

  16. At this particular point in time, we are currently learning more about our jobs and the specific tasks we need to be able to accomplish. Being on the Entry, Descent, and Landing team gives me a huge opportunity to show my ideas, and knowledge about the rover. I have great ideas I can contribute to this project.

  17. On the IDep team we are currently researching the Reduction System on Mars. So we know what we can and cant make our instruments out of. We also are continuing research of conditions on Mars, so that we know what conditions our instruments will have to face.

  19. Our group is working very hard to get information for our Rover. I am a programer and all the programers talked about the new prgram that we have to learn. The good thing about it is that it is easy so far. We have to make the Rover point north for the next group. T. Holt, MFO
